What is the Lavasource Talent Marketplace?
An HR talent marketplace where organizations hire HR, payroll and HR technology specialists, and specialists find their next role. Every specialist is peer-vetted, every engagement is set up on the right contract before work begins, and a talent advisor supports both sides.
How are specialists vetted?
The Lavasource team reviews every specialist’s skills and experience, and identity, right-to-work, reference and background checks are completed before an engagement begins. For a permanent hire, those checks sit with you as the employer.
How does Lavasource keep each engagement compliant?
Before anything is signed, Lavasource reviews the country, worker status, tax and right-to-work rules for each engagement, and chooses the route from that. Work that should be employment is set up as employment, through an approved employer of record.
How are specialists engaged?
Through one of four routes, chosen by who directs the work, where it happens and the specialist’s status. A Lavasource consulting project, for a defined outcome. A contractor engagement, where you direct the work and Lavasource contracts the specialist. Employment through an approved employer of record, where local rules require it, so you need no entity in that country. Or a permanent hire, where you employ the specialist directly.
How are professionals paid?
Through Lavasource, on agreed terms. You approve the time and receive one invoice, and Lavasource pays the specialist, or the employer of record does where one is used. Permanent hires join your own payroll.
What does it cost?
Joining and searching are free. We review each organization before search opens, usually within two business days. When you hire, you pay an agreed rate for contract work, an agreed price for a consulting project, or a one-off fee for a permanent placement.
What if a specialist is not the right fit?
Tell your talent advisor and we will find a replacement.
Who directs the specialist's work?
Your team directs the specialist’s day-to-day work, unless Lavasource runs it as a consulting project.
Who owns the work a specialist produces?
Your organization does, unless your contract says otherwise.
What kinds of work can we hire for?
Permanent, contract, fixed-term, fractional and project work, from a single configuration review to a multi-year program role.
Which platforms do your specialists work on?
The major HR, payroll and workforce management platforms, including Dayforce, Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, UKG, ADP, Visier and Cornerstone. The marketplace is not tied to one platform.
Can we hire a whole team?
Yes. Lavasource can run the work as a consulting project, combining its own consultants with specialists from the marketplace, such as a payroll lead, an integration architect and a testing manager, under one contract.
Where do engagements run?
In any country, on-site or remotely, and a specialist can work for an organization based in another country. The Lavasource talent network spans 80 countries.
How does the marketplace relate to Lavasource consulting?
It is part of Lavasource, alongside our consulting and technology practices. You can hire an individual specialist, such as an HCM consultant or payroll lead, through the marketplace, or engage Lavasource for a full program.
